Making sure your employees are paid correctly and on time can be a challenge. Staying on top of tax codes, pension auto enrolment and meeting statutory reporting requirements contribute to the complexity.
Who needs to run a payroll?
PAYE is HMRC's system to collect tax and National Insurance contributions from employees. If any of your employees earn more than the lower earnings limit per week, receives benefits or expenses, is in receipt of a pension or has another job you must register for PAYE. Even if you don't register for PAYE you must keep accurate payroll records.

What's involved?
As well as calculating an employee's tax and National Insurance contributions by ensuring that they are on the correct Tax Code, other complexities can include: maternity pay, sick pay and student loan contributions as well as pension contributions. Other complexities arise if you employ non-UK resident staff.

What are my legal obligations?
As part of the monthly payroll process you must complete online filings with HMRC under RTI (Real Time Information) to submit the EPS (Employer Payment Submission) and FPS (Full Payment Submission). Employers must be able to provide employees with: P11d's, P60's, P45's as necessary. Also, broadly, employees who are over 22 years old and earning more than £10k annually must be auto-enrolled in a pension scheme.

Running the payroll
We will run the payroll on a timescale agreed with you and email payslips directly to employees or send to you for distribution. We will calculate all necessary additions or deductions.
Pension auto-enrolment
We can help you understand your obligations as an employer and check employee eligibility criteria. We will complete monthly submissions to your pension provider
Employee documents
We will take care of all data entry for new employees and also handle any changes required e.g. change of name. As required we will issue P11D's, P60's and P45's
Submitting HMRC data
We will take care of monthly RTI submissions - EPS(Employee Payment Submission) and FPS(Full Payment Submission). We will also complete the Payroll Year End filing.
Finance journal / payroll reporting
Depending on your business requirements we will provide monthly Payroll Reporting. We can also provide a Finance Journal for your accounting software
